It's THEIR issue...not YOURS!!

BREAKTHROUGH!!!

Letting Go and Taking Detours...

LETTING GO and TAKING DETOURS in life is sometimes very HARD to do.  This is especially difficult for those "PERFECTIONIST" that don't exactly APPRECIATE life's HICCUPS.  But YOU can't MATURE and GROW as a PERSON if you are holding on to things that DON'T ALLOW you to PROGRESS as a HUMAN BEING.

Whatever it is you are holding on to, whether if be fear, a job, future plans, goals and ambitions, relationships - whatever it is.  Have the FAITH to LET GO, TAKE A DETOUR, and BE CONFIDENT things will come out on TOP in the END.  BECAUSE you can't live your BESTEST LIFE if you CAN'T LET GO.

The Color Run!!! - Raleigh 2013

The COLOR RUN!  OMGosh!  This was  Raleigh's first Color Run event and it really was such an AMAZING  event!  The Color Run is known as the "The Happiest 5k on the Planet”  and is a “unique paint race that celebrates HEALTHINESS, HAPPINESS, and INDIVIDUALITY."  Participants in the race wear all white attire and are splashed with color at different points during the race and completely covered at the finish line!
The event started off with MUSIC, DANCING, and ENTERTAINMENT. The race got started at 9am.  There were 3 waves of running groups with staggered starting times.  It was so EXCITING to see hundreds of people come out to support such a HAPPY event

I had the opportunity to serve as an Activate Good volunteer.  Activate Good connects individuals, groups, and companies to VOLUNTEER and PROVIDE SUPPORT to over 150 nonprofits around the Triangle! I worked with volunteers at the “KIND” tent where we worked TOGETHER to provide "Healthy and Tasty" treats to race participants at the FINISH LINE.
While I did not participate as a runner in the race, I still managed to return home COVERED in VARIATIONS of pink, green, yellow, and blue!  This was such a FUN event!  I truly believe in being your HAPPIEST self and DEFINITELY plan to be a part of The Color Run again in 2014!

For us FIERCE ladies who REFUSE to give up on living our BESTEST life!

NEVER let GO of your DREAMS...

20th Women’s Distance Festival 5K - Raleigh, NC

Sorry so late on posting on this event!  I am working and juggling a million other tasks, and getting behind on the things I LOVE the MOST!  Anywho…On Saturday, September 21st, I had the privilege of running the 20th Women’s Distance Festival 5K in Raleigh, NC.  The course took place on the beautiful Dorothea Dix campus in Raleigh, NC. The weather was PERFECT for this FANTASTIC event that partnered with InterAct, a group that provides domestic violence awareness.  InterActs mission is to provide safety and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and to promote violence-free relationships and communities through collaboration, public information, and advocacy.
Unfortunately, I was RUNNING late to this event, so my timing of 35:27 doesn’t come close to my last 5k running time of 21:00.  I seem to be able to RUN any COURSE, but when it comes to DRIVING, I lose all sense of DIRECTION.  I SERIOUSLY need to become BETTER acquainted with my GPS or just plan to RUN wherever I need to go!  Although late, I still ran because this is a GREAT cause I am truly EXCITED about supporting.
The LADIES from the NCRR Women’s Beginner’s Running Program also came out in FULL FORCE to support this event.  The NCRR Women’s Beginner’s Running Program is 10-week program that prepares women of all fitness levels to prepare for a 5k in late September.  It was great to see these ladies working TOGETHER as a TEAM to complete the race and I plan to get a TEAM of LADIES out in 2014 to support this FANTASTIC cause and event!
