The COLOR RUN! OMGosh! This was Raleigh's first Color Run event and it really was such an AMAZING event!
The Color Run is known as the "The Happiest 5k on the Planet” and is a “unique paint race that
celebrates HEALTHINESS, HAPPINESS, and INDIVIDUALITY." Participants in the race
wear all white attire and are splashed with color at different points during the race and
completely covered at the finish line!
The event started off
with MUSIC, DANCING, and ENTERTAINMENT. The race got started at 9am. There were 3 waves of running groups with staggered starting times.
It was so EXCITING to see hundreds of people come out to support such a
HAPPY event
I had the opportunity to serve as an Activate Good volunteer. Activate Good connects individuals, groups, and companies to VOLUNTEER and PROVIDE SUPPORT to over 150 nonprofits around the Triangle! I worked with volunteers at the “KIND” tent where we worked TOGETHER to provide "Healthy and Tasty" treats to race participants at the FINISH LINE.

While I did not participate as a runner in the race, I still
managed to return home COVERED in VARIATIONS of pink, green, yellow, and blue! This was such a FUN event! I truly believe in being your HAPPIEST
self and DEFINITELY plan to be a part of The Color Run again in 2014!
